'Wit's End' June 1st tix available for Hoboken Film Fest

WE Poster Final 050709  Tickets are now available for the 2009 Hoboken Film Festival. Wit's End, which was chosen as an Official Selection, will screen on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Cedar Lane Cinemas in Teaneck, NJ.

Tickets can be purchased online at the Hoboken Festival's official site.

Wit's End is an original sitcom pilot produced by Whirlaway Productions in association with Like-Minded Entertainment. It was written and produced by Lizbeth Finn-Arnold, Sandra Longo, and Mitchell Olson. Finn-Arnold also directed the 24-minute pilot.

'Wit's End' chosen as Official Selection at Hoboken Film Fest

Hiff 3 Wit's End has been chosen as an Official Selection in the 2009 Hoboken International Film Festival (HIFF).

According to HIFF Chairman Kenneth Del Vecchio, the festival received over 1000 submissions this year and "the selection process was rigorous and difficult given the numerous talented filmmakers who submitted their works. After final review, HIFF has selected under 5% of the projects submitted."

This Hoboken fest, which has been named one of the world's "top 10 festivals" by major media will take place May 29 - June 4, 2009. The films will primarily screen at Cedar Lane Cinemas in Teaneck, NJ and Pier A Park in Hoboken, NJ.

'Wit's End' to screen at 2009 Bare Bones Film & Music Fest

Bareboneslaurel Wit's End has been accepted into the 2009 Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival.

This 10th annual fest will take place April 16-26, 2009, in downtown Muskogee, Oklahoma. Wit's End is scheduled to screen on Sunday, April 18, at 2 PM.

'Snake Hill' screens at NJ Film Fest Spring 2009

The award-winning feature-length documentary Snake Hill will be screened at Rutgers University as part of the NJ Film Fest Spring 2009 Screening Series. Snake Hill tells the poignant story of one man's search for the remains of his grandfather which resulted in the largest disinterterment/re-interment in U.S. history.

The film will screen at Scott Hall 123, New Brunswick, Feb. 27- March 1, at 7 PM. On Friday, February 27, 2009, Director Sandra Long and producer Debbie Higgins will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the film.

'Wit's End' chosen as Official Finalist in 2009 Las Vegas Fest

VegasPosterFinal LME is proud to announce that Wit's End has been recognized as an Official Finalist by the 2009 Las Vegas International Film Festival.  According to Festival Co-Director, James Mulidore, "our judges felt that your film demonstrated superior and standout filmmaking and is deserving of special recognition.  Your film was among the best of nearly 2000 films submitted from over 50 countries around the world."

The Las Vegas International Film Festival takes place April 9-12., 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The  Closing Night Awards Ceremony will be held 9:00 pm April 12, 2009 at the East Side Cannery Casino and Hotel.

'Wit's End' receives Excellence Award at Honolulu Fest

HonoPoster Small Like-Minded Entertainment is proud to announce that the original sitcom pilot, Wit's End, has received the Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking from the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival.

The Festival takes place March 6 – 8, 2009 in Honolulu, Hawaii and the Excellence Award will be handed out at the Closing Night  Awards Ceremony on March 8, 2009 at the Hawaii Theatre in the heart of Honolulu.

According to the congratulatory letter from the film festival manager, Wit's End received the award because it "demonstrated superior and standout filmmaking and is deserving of one of our our most esteemed awards.  Your film was among the very best of the several hundreds of films submitted from over 30 countries around the world."

Wit's End was produced by LME in association with Whirlaway Productions, and was co-created by Lizbeth Finn-Arnold, Sandra Longo, and Mitchell Olson.

Documentary Celebrates Women's Friendships...

On a recent Thursday evening, filmmaker Sandra Longo introduced her new documentary, The BlueBelles to a full house of enthusiastic moviegoers at the Red Bank Arts Cinema. "I hope you will find the film entertaining and illuminating," Longo said, and the movie began.

'Wit's End' has private premiere in NYC

Wit's End premiered for a private audience on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 @ Don't Tell Mama Cabaret & Piano Bar in New York City. The cast was on hand to perform live stand-up comedy prior to the sitcom's screening. After the screening, co-creators Lizbeth Finn-Arnold, Sandra Longo and Mitchell Olson took part in a Q&A with the crowd.

Wit's End is a 1/2 comedy about a group of struggling comedians who inherit a comedy club from an eccentric millionaire. It was produced by Whirlaway Productions in association with Like-Minded Entertainment.
